I burned a movie into a cdr but my dvd player wont play it? help?
Ok. so i downloaded a movie from a torrent site. The Movie is 699 MB. I burned it into a Cd-r. ok so i tried playing it on a samsung dvd player and it played. When i play it on a Sony dvd player it doesnt play. How can i get it to play in the Sony dvd player? I belive the format on the movie is Divx.
If you burned it as divx format then the player must be capable of decoding divx format. Chances are the Samsung player has a built in divx decoder while the Sony does not. You can find this information in the instruction manual and sometimes the divx logo will be on the front of the player.
If you want a more universal disc you will need to burn a DVD in mpeg2 format.
